Top It Off with the Teens

We had a great youth activity the other night at church. The teens had to make a pizza and could use anything they wanted to decorate it. Each team had $15 to spend on the toppings for the pizza and props for their "commercial". It was a fun time for the teens and for us drivers.

Here is Team 4...they were the craziest of the bunch and came in First Runner Up. Their theme was Candyland.

Here we have the Alien Pizza & Candyland

The Alien won overall

Here is the Willy Wonka Pizza (even had a chocolate river!) & the Jaws Pizza

Flat Chrissy & Flat Mary Go to TBC

Chrissy & Mary are back at Pensacola Christian College, so I revamped Flat Chrissy & Flat Mary for this semester. It has been fun "introducing" new people to them this time. I actually had someone ask me the other night if I carried them around all the time, because I missed them. It was pretty funny. Anyway, here we go on the NEW Adventures of Flat Chrissy & Flat Mary!! Hanging out by the donuts (you should have seen the men's faces as I took this one) I didn't even try to explain. haha
Coffee, anyone?
Sneaking a Peak at the Secret Sister gifts
Hanging out with Hope
Taking a look at the MANNA Worldwide missionary's table

Aren't they cute?

Grandpa Leaves Fredericksburg

We had to leave for Pensacola on Sunday, August 31st, so I took Dad to Manassas to stay with my sister that Friday. He said goodbye to the girls, then we headed to Northern VA. Thanks, Grandpa, for coming to see us before the girls left for college! We love you much!! Chrissy, Dad (Grandpa), Mary

Crazzy Dominoes Nights w/Grandpa

Not sure what it is about Dominoes that makes Mary go snap happy with my camera. However, for the second time that week, she did it again. We were making faces at her and she'd snap a picture. We were laughing a lot, and I don't even remember who won...probably my dad as he almost always wins! Mary's self photo
Chrissy trying to ignore Mary
Still trying to ignore Mary
Strange view
Finally getting to her
Dad had his hearing aid off, so he probably didn't even hear any of our craziness. haha Me, pretending I don't know she's watching me

Still pretending

Kingsport, TN

After we left GA, Theron and I made our way to Kingsport, TN. We stayed at "the little house" before heading home on Sunday. We had a great evening looking around Kingsport. This is part of the front porch at the little house. Theron's dad laid this. It is absolutley beautiful!
Some of my Mother's In Law flowers. They are gorgeous!

This is a plaque that is hanging in the kitchen of the little house. I love this, as it is SO true!!

Theron's babyhood home in Kingsport

Pal's is our favorite restaurant in Kingsport, and we laughed at this sign.
Pal's at nighttime...we didn't eat too much just shared a milkshake, fries and peachie tea!! Adrian and Heather, am I making you crave a shake?? :)

Ft. Benning, GA

Theron & I had never been stationed at Ft. Benning, but he had been to jump school back in 1979 (3 years before we got together). These are the jump towers. There are 3 phases to jump school, this being the 2nd. These towers are 250 feet high. Theron was hoping they would be using them when we went by, but they weren't. However, I still took pictures, of course.

Our Last Day in Paradise

Thursday, Sept 4th, was our last morning there. We headed for Ft. Benning, GA for some business. Here are a few pics I took during my walk before we left.

Sunrise
The waves were much calmer

A small, but pretty tourquoise jelly fish. This one was about 3 inches in diameter.

This one was the size of a quarter...and was the prettiest one.

Theron and Nancy Go On a Date

My husband is very sweet. After we said goodbye to the girls...I was very, very sad. I cried most of the way back to the condo. Then, after lying on the balcony for about an hour listening to the waves....I went back inside and cried on Theron's shoulder again. Then, he took me out on a fun date. We played mini golf, air hockey, pinball, and skeeball. After that, we went out to dinner. He knows that mini golf and air hockey always make me laugh....and food is always good for a broken heart!! haha We had a great time!! Thanks, honey, for knowing exactly how to make me smile again. Theron got a hole in one...so I made him pose
The wind kept making the flowers move too much for a good pic, so
Theron held them still for me

Posing for the camera with the timer...on the 18th hole...he won this time!

More PCC Trip Pix

Theron and I walked on the beach one afternoon, and took a few pictures of sea creatures and each other...hopefully, you can tell the difference! haha

This is the first of many jelly fish we saw along our walk. The hurricane must've washed a bunch on shore. This was as big as a dinner plate!

The waves got much smaller but were still a bit higher than the norm for this part of FL.Theron took this of me...as you can see, it was very windy, and I was trying to hold my hair back...I was NOT trying to "pose". haha He waited forever to take the pic, as he was trying to catch the waves at the perfect time. There were still bands of rain coming in off the ocean.
I took this of Theron Still Got It After All These Years :)

I took walks down the beach on Wed and Thursday mornings while Theron worked This picture was blurry, but I still like it because the waves are so churned up.

Chrissy, Lydia, and Mary at Olive Garden our last day with the girls.Lydia took this for us outside of the restaurant. She retook it, though, as she said my hair got in my eyes.haha She is so cute. Here's the retake

Here are some more tourists...setting up a cabana on the beach...it was still pretty windy, so it made me laugh. It took them forever, but they did get it to stay up.
