Here are some pictures of Mary's and Chrissy's Graduation party. We had it on June 2nd, their ceremony was that morning, and the party was that afternoon/evening. We had such a wonderful time sharing our girls' day with all of our family and close friends. I started this blog after all of that, so these never got posted on here. These are all from the disposable cameras we had placed around for everyone to take pictures for us during the festivities.

Johnny Update

Hi, everyone! I talked with Darlene for awhile tonight. She had two prayer requests: That Johnny continues to improve...he was very dehydrated on Sunday when they went into the clinic and is doing much better now. However, they didn't give him his chemo today, as his immune system is still down from last week's treatment. Also, they are seeing another group of doctors for a second opinion on the course of treatment that is best for Johnny. She asked that we pray for them to have wisdom. She is awesome and such a strong Christian. She is wonderful to talk to, and always leaves me feeling uplifted!! God is using the Bryan family in a mighty way, as they are such a testimony to everyone they meet at the hospital and clinic. Thanks for your prayers on their behalf.

I found some discs of pictures taken with the disposable cameras we had lying around at the girls' graduation party in June. Here is one of Johnny. I'll post more of those pictures soon.

Flat Mary & Flat Chrissy Go to Williamsburg & Church

What a BUSY Weekend!!
Here are a few pictures of the girls at church this morning.Flat Mary in the Orchestra
Flat Chrissy in the Choir

Mom Spending Time with the Girls before Class

On Saturday, my SS class took a trip to Williamsburg to shop. We took Flat Mary & Flat Chrissy with us. It was so fun!!

Here are the girls on the dash of the van. Notice the green sign in the background...it shows that Williamsburg is 23 miles ahead. The seat belts were a bit overwhelming for them, so they were in my purse for most of the ride.

Tammy drove the church van on the way there for us. Here she is posing with the girls.

Our Tree, Again

Here are a couple more picstures of our tree. Now that we've had colder weather and rain, the colors are getting vibrant.

Johnny Update

Good evening! I spoke with Darlene today. She asked that we pray for Johnny. He had a rough day today. They are at the Ronald McDonald House tonight, as he had his spinal tap/chemo today. If everything goes as planned, they should be able to go home for the weekend on Friday evening. Many of you have asked about Johnny. I asked Darlene if it would be okay to post updates and prayer requests here on our family blog. She said that would be fine, as they covet your prayers on Johnny's behalf. So, when there is a specific request or news, I will post it here. Thanks for your prayers.

Flat Mary & Flat Chrissy at the Bryans'

Here is a picture TJ and Johnny set up to show Flat Mary and Flat Chrissy playing ping pong. Notice, there really is a ping pong ball in the middle of play in the center of the picture! :) Wonder who won?

Horizon of Hope Event

On Saturday, I held my 2nd Annual Horizon of Hope event to raise money for breast cancer research. Longaberger has a great campaign, Horizon of Hope, and they donate 100% to specific research projects for breast cancer through the American Cancer Society. Charlotte Cronk, a nurse at Mary Washington, and a great friend, helped me. I couldn't have done it without her. Thanks, Charlotte! We raised approximately $400 for the HOH campaign.

Here's the cake Wendy made for the event. It was SO pretty, and tasted great, too!!

Here's the house where we held the brunch. It was beautiful!!

Theron Visits Mary & Chrissy

Theron went to PCC last week to see the girls. He was able to spend two nights down there, and they stayed with him off campus those evenings. They loved having their dad there, and he enjoyed spending time with our girls.

Miss Teen Arizona, Erika Frantzve, came with her mom on Saturday to meet Johnny Bryan. She is establishing a charity in Johnny's honor for other teens with cancer. The charity will be called Johnny's Locker. I'll post more about it later, along with a link to her site about it. Meanwhile, enjoy these pics!! :)

PRETTY CHRISSY

A few times a year the girls are required to attend "Fine Arts" programs at the school. Their first one was this past weekend. I asked them to take some pictures for me, and so they sent these to me today. Aren't they so cute? I can't believe how grown up they seem. :)

The Adventures of Flat Mary and Flat Chrissy

This was our first trip without the girls while they are in college. Remember Flat Stanley...the doll you (or your kids) would bring home from school and send to an out of town relative to take pictures of in faraway places? Well, I made Flat Mary and Flat Chrissy!! They go with us everywhere. :) Yes, we are nuts, but it is fun!!

And what would a trip to Kingsport be without

a trip (or 3) to Pals?

We even took the time to snap a picture on the way home in the western part of VA at the Subway we ate lunch at.

Down by the River

Here are a few pictures I took as Theron drove by the river. We wanted to show the kids where Grandma Bowman grew up. Theron and I had been down there before, but TJ and Sam hadn't been. It is beautiful! Wish we could go back when the leaves finish changing, but our weekends are full from here 'til Christmas. :)
