We stayed the night at the Ashby Inn in Paris, VA. We were supposed to come on our actual anniversary in December, but that's when the big snow hit. So, we postponed it. I am really glad we did as it gave us something special to do in January. Our honeymoon was in January, so I kind of like keeping that tradition. The side view of the Inn. The glassed in side is part of the restaurant, which is where we sat for breakfast.
The Ashby Inn & Restaurant
Can't wait to come back in April for Theron's birthday! This was the best B&B we've been in.

The library
Our private entrance
This door is across the porch and goes right into the restaurant. We were given a key, so that if we wanted to use the library during our stay, we could make ourselves at home. We found out the next morning, that we were the only guests in the whole inn!
We had a separate entrance, and our room was over the kitchen. We had the best view out back. This is what you see when walking into our room.
Looking back down the stairs.
Up the stairs and here is our room.

This is the view from the back of the inn. This was taken as we walked from our car from their back parking lot. That's our room with the fan window.
The king sized brass bed....very comfy!
Our room
It started snowing at night. I took this of the footpath leading to the parking lot.
The view the next morning, out of our window.
It wasn't a lot of snow, but just enough to be pretty!

I took so many of these with the self timer, but none turned out. This is the best one, and it's not good! We did match rather well, even without trying!
