50th Anniversary Surprise in Kingsport, TN

Theron wanted to do something really special for his parents' 50th Anniversary on July 3rd.  We started planning about a year ago, then pulled it off this past weekend.  We had such a blast from start to finish.  These are nowhere near all of the pics, but are a  few highlights.
Bethany and Samantha in the car...first time Bethany has been to a Pal's. She loved it!
Eatin' at Pal's in Bristol on our way to TN
 Gotta love the ducks
 My honey and me
The view from our front porch on the cabin we rented in the Cherokee National Forest.
 Sunset
On our way down the long, winding driveway...very steep..we saw some deer.
Here is the fellowship hall where we held the party.  This was the church Geronia and Christine were married at 50 years ago.  Theron had it planned to the last detail.
He gave me free rein on the decorations, so Sammy, Bethany and I went to work.
The place settings...we had pictures of Moe and Christine (and some with their kids in there, too) on the tables all in matching gold frames I was able to find at Kohls.  Thanks, Darlene, for the GREAT idea!!
Theron and me after we were finished decorating for the big day.
A few clouds the morning of the 3rd...this is the view from our porch again, which I loved to look at while doing my morning devotions.  This particular morning, I even relaxed in the hot tub for a bit.
The finished product!  We picked up the balloons before heading to the bakery to pick up the cake.  We dropped the balloons off at the church first, as 2 dozen ballons took up most of the Highlander.  :)
The beautiful cake made by a local bakery.
Waiting for us to bring the happy couple
Waiting...
They were shocked!!  Christine said to Theron, "You pulled something on us, didn't you?"
