Visiting the Weavers and Our 24 Party

The Friday before we were to leave for the Weavers' home, someone plowed into the back of the van while traffic was stopped while someone turned right! The lady was on her cell phone and didn't notice we had all stopped. No one was hurt and her insurance (State Farm) took care of everything. A week later, Mary and Jeff were going out for lunch and she was in an accident. Once again, no one was hurt and the other insurance took care of it (Geico). The following Friday, I threatened to make it "No Drive Day", but we did all drive and all was well!
On Monday, May 18th, Mary and I went to spend a couple of days with Michelle. We had an uneventful trip down, although we counted at least 27 or 28 State Police on I95. That is no exageration either! All but one had someone stopped! Crazy! Anyway, we were glad to be able to go spend time with the Weaver clan.

Pretty soon after we arrived, we walked over to the pen where the donkey and goats are. Michelle fed them while I stood a little distance away. I am not usually that nervous around Don, but he bit Michelle's mom a few days before we were there, so I wasn't taking any chances!

Here are Jasen and Branden, with their guns, shooting snakes in the woods where we were.

Here are two that they killed right in the area we were walking!

Nathen setting up the tv for our night of 24!

Michelle made tons of great food for our dinner. It was very tasty!

The next day, we shopped! This was a backdrop set up at the local craft mall for taking Graduation pics. Mary thought she was on the Titanic! See, she is getting more like me!

Michelle took us to an old resort where people still go today to get their water right from this spicket. The canal looked rather dirty, and I think the water tasted funny!

Nathen being cute.

We had a nice dinner after this and then went back to their house to chill.

Hi! Sounds like you all had a great time! So glad! Pretty pics. And you are smart to stay away from Michelle's donkey - she has a history of scary pets! lol
