Deuteronomy 6:6,7 "These commmandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." NIV
We had a great time at the "Little House". Theron played in the field with his radio controlled helicopter we bought as we left Fredericksburg. TJ shot his air rifle at some targets Theron had set up in the backyard. Theron and I enjoyed sitting on the porch reading (and snuggling!). Sam and TJ played with her nerf target inside.
Vanessa celebrated her birthday on Friday. We had a great day. We had a nice breakfast at Cracker Barrel, a manicure, and an afternoon of shopping. For dinner, we met up with Lisa, Bruce and Bethany at a great restaurant Theron found in downtown Fredericksburg. It's our new favorite date place. Afterwards, we went to our house and had cake and ice cream.
Vanessa and I drove up to Occoquan, VA to meet Lisa and shop. We had a nice morning. After a great lunch at the Occoquan Inn (where Theron and I do our Radiance Christmas party each year), we walked around the Riverwalk. We fed the fish and ducks, and yapped for awhile. It was a nice day. We missed our other sister, Jo, though!! I set the timer on the camera for the ones with me in the pic, and acted goofy as I ran back to be in the picture. That's why we are laughing.
Vanessa arrived on Friday, September 28th. On Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, I drove Vanessa and Lisa to Baltimore, MD to visit the aquarium. It was fun! We walked around the harbor for awhile after having lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.
Here is my new favorite place in the world!! :) It was about 10 minutes away from where Theron and I stayed. It is a private beach access, so not many people were there. They also had a beautiful pavilion for those who don't like to be out in the sun.
We took Mary and Chrissy to Landry's Seafood on Thursday evening. After dinner, we took them back to the college, then got a few things for them at Target and took those to them. We then said some quick goodbyes. It was really hard, but I know they are doing what God wants them to do. I'd rather they be in Florida doing God's will than in Virginia out of His will. Thank goodness for email and cell phones. :)
